In episode 24 of the Brew Theology Podcast we are live in Redondo Beach at #TheologyBeerCamp with Dr. John Cobb. If you are unfamiliar with Dr. Cobb’s work, you will definitely want to dig in after listening to this Jedi Master unveil some theological #BOOM on the mic. Cobb breaks down a bit of experiential pluralism via Buddhism and Christianity to begin our conversation, engages in some Wesleyan dialogue and carefully navigates through 5 key developments in church history that have blocked appreciation and a priority of Jesus’ own teaching, thus hindering the relational accessibility of moving into a dynamic relationship with Abba/ Father as seen in the life of Jesus of Nazareth.
Thanks to Tripp Fuller and Homebrewed Christianity for hosting this event in Cali.

Episode 22: "S#*t Is Getting Real" with Amanda Henderson
Sunday Jan 29, 2017
Sunday Jan 29, 2017
In Episode 22 of the Brew Theology Podcast, Ryan, Janel, Liz & Alex interview Amanda Henderson from the Interfaith Alliance of CO.
As we walk into 2017 with an unknown political and social future ahead, many of us are concerned about oppression, marginalization and division ahead - especially for those who are most vulnerable. How will we respond? How will we build movements of resistance and resilience? Amanda Henderson, Executive Director of the Interfaith Alliance of Colorado, guides us to explore how the first step to building a new world of radical justice and hospitality is to 'Gather our People'.
Who are 'our people'?
What does it look like to strengthen 'our people'?
Who are those who aren't 'our people'?
What is the risk and benefit of focusing on 'our people'?
This episode is relevant, indeed... Cheers!

Episode 20: "Rogue One" - A Hanukkah Story
Friday Dec 23, 2016
Friday Dec 23, 2016
In Episode 20 of the Brew Theology Podcast, Ryan and friends - Meghan, Liz, Dan & Shoshana - brew up an Hanukkah episode just in time. Yup. The original Rogue One Star Wars Rebels were Jewish. Let's finish the holiday season spinning the dreidel, lighting the menorah & digging into the liberation movement of Hanukkah then and NOW... Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the miracle of the oil. It is an 8-day celebration that commemorates a Jewish victory over tyranny and begins on the lunar month Kislev 25 (Dec. 24 sunset–Jan.1 sunset ‘16/ ‘17). The Hanukkah story is found in 1 Maccabees (apocrypha), and is the story of how Judas Maccabee and his band of freedom fighters overthrew the Seleucid forces under the rule of Antiochus “Epiphanes” during the 2nd Century BCE. Hanukkah is not a biblical festival recorded in Hebrew Scriptures as it began after the last books of the Scriptures were completed. However, it is recognized in the Christian New Testament (John 10), as we see Jesus going to the temple on this holiday. (It is unclear if he ate potato latkes and doughnuts after his visit that day.).
